Cowan Creek Resort Cabins and Fish Camp is independently American owned by Mark and Pamela Hardy established in 2017.

 

Previously Pruett's Fish Camp, Cowan Creek Resort Cabins and Fish Camp is located on Weiss Lake in Northeast Alabama in the center of the ABC triangle. We offer fishermen, travelers and vacationers a comfortable and relaxing stay in our cabins.

Sit out on your cabins front porch and take in the breathtaking view of Weiss Lake and the surrounding mountains.  We offer a restful stay with cleanliness being our top priority with our lodging.

We accommodate weekly family vacationers to one night fishing trips on Weiss Lake.

Cowan Creek Resort Cabins and Fish Camp offers cabins, gift shop, bait, tackle and a boat ramp. We also have boat rentals that include pontoon boats, fishing boats.  Experience the outstanding fishing for bass, crappie, sunfish and strippers on Weiss Lake.

WEISS LAKE FISHING

Weiss Lake is know as the "Crappie Capital of the World"  and also has great largemouth and striped bass fishing.  The bass consist of 15-18 inch and a abundant number of young growing bass.  The striped bass consist of 3-7 lbs fish.  And fish over 25 lbs have been caught.

Cherokee County was created by the Alabama legislature on January 9, 1836. It was named for the Cherokee Indians who ceded the land to the Federal government by the Treaty of New Echota, December 29, 1835. Cherokee County is located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains and encompasses 553 square miles. It is bordered on the north by DeKalb County, on the west by Etowah County, on the south by Calhoun and Cleburne Counties, and the east by Chattooga and Floyd Counties, GA
